Hong Kong, October 26, 2026 — The Green Accelerator (GA), with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a founding member of the GA, is working to connect green technologies with infrastructure needs and project opportunities across emerging markets and developing economies.
GA identifies and recommends relevant green technology solutions from its network for consideration on AIIB’s InfraTech Portal. This helps proven technologies that can improve the affordability and sustainability of infrastructure reach a wider audience. Through the InfraTech Portal and its Tech Exchange initiative, GA and AIIB help connect technology providers and infrastructure stakeholders around specific needs. The collaboration also creates opportunities for knowledge exchange and, where appropriate, links to upstream project development and preparation.
Following GA’s launch during Hong Kong Green Week 2026, six solutions have been recommended through this collaboration and are now available for public access on the Portal. Visit the AIIB InfraTech Portal (https://www.infratechportal.org/publicIndex) to learn more.
- Sustainable Smart Desert Agriculture System — combines solar-powered precision irrigation, AI-enabled agronomy, soil restoration and climate-resilient crops to enable agricultural production in arid environments.
- Decarbonized Smart Building & Circular Retrofit System — integrates bio-based construction, deep MEP retrofits, digital resource management and building-performance technologies to reduce embodied and operational carbon.
- Integrated Battery Recycling and Resource Recovery Solution — combines battery separation, material recovery and battery-material regeneration in modular systems, supported by digital traceability and carbon accounting.
- Agricultural & Forestry Residue Utilization Solution — converts agricultural and forestry residues into biochar, syngas and heat, with applications in power generation, industrial energy and carbon removal.
- Integrated Electric Two-Wheeler and Three-Wheeler Mobility Solution — integrates electric vehicles, modular batteries, charging and swapping infrastructure, and digital fleet management to support the electrification of urban and semi-urban mobility.
- Solar-Integrated Modular Desalination Plant — combines modular desalination, solar PV, battery storage, water reservoirs and brine recovery to provide scalable, low-carbon water supply.
The collaboration will continue to expand the range of relevant green technologies connected to the InfraTech ecosystem and explore opportunities to link suitable solutions with infrastructure and project development needs.
Infrastructure owners, operators and public agencies with a defined technology need, as well as potential technology and ecosystem partners interested in contributing solutions or exploring collaboration opportunities are welcome to contact GA at inquiry@greenax.org.
